Letters Round
Nine letters, thirty seconds, the longest word you can find. Play it properly by choosing vowels and consonants one at a time, or type in a round you have seen and let the solver find everything.
Using it in class
A real round, not a random one
The vowels and consonants come from the same piles the television show uses, and a letter taken is gone — so there is one Q, plenty of E and T, and rounds that feel right. The buttons stop you when a choice would leave the round short of vowels.
Answers you can show a class
Solvers usually answer with a wall of words nobody has met. Leave Only words a child would know on and the list stays to words worth putting on the board — it is how common each word is, not a list we invented.
Pairs with the numbers round
The Numbers Round Solver does the other half of the show: six numbers, a three-digit target, and the shortest way there. Between them they make a whole end-of-term lesson.
