Bar Model
Build the bar model you were about to draw in PowerPoint. Split a bar, drag the dividers, label the parts, mark the whole and the difference — then save it as a picture.
Using it in class
The one nobody builds
Bar modelling is in every primary scheme and there is no good free tool for it, so teachers draw them in PowerPoint a rectangle at a time. This does it in about fifteen seconds, and the picture comes out as a PNG you can drop into a worksheet or a slide.
Four models to start from
Part-whole, comparison, a fraction of an amount and ratio are one press each, already labelled. Change the numbers and you have the model for the question in front of you rather than the one in the example.
Built for a whiteboard
Go full screen and it fills the board. Copy a link to this model puts the whole thing in a web address, so a model can go in a plan, a slide or a message to a pupil and open exactly as you left it.
